The Collegium Hungaricum Vienna - Hungarian Cultural Institute, operating under the aegis of the Hungarian diplomatic representations, has been the most important mediator of Hungarian culture, education and science in Austria since 1920.

Through the Institute for Hungarian Historical Research in Vienna, which is part of the Collegium Hungaricum, we also carry out academic activities. We are in contact with Hungarian lecturers in Vienna and organize academic conferences, panel discussions and round tables.

The Collegium Hungaricum building was rebuilt between March 1998 and January 1999 according to the plans of László Rajk, János Balázs and Irisz Borsos. The features of the old building are no longer recognizable in its current appearance: The building, which was provided with a large metal construction, quotes the Hungarian constructivist tradition and has become a point of attraction on the Danube Canal for many Viennese.
