Registration Travel Subsidies
The organizers of the Central European History Convention are eager to eliminate financial hurdles for participants. We have waived all fees and are in the process of securing affordable housing options for participants. We are also trying to provide financial subsidies to cover part of travel expenses and accommodation for those participants who do not receive financial support from elsewhere. Please do understand that we need to limit this offer to our active participants, i.e. colleagues giving a paper, chairing a session or acting as commentators.
Travel subsidies can be applied for from the following programs:
1. University of Texas Czech Studies Travel Grants
The Center for Russian, East European and Eurasian Studies (CREES) provides travel subsidies for scholars presenting papers on topics related to Czech Studies.
2. GWZO Travel Grants
The Leibniz Institute for the History and Culture of Eastern Europe (GWZO) provides travel subsidies for active participants residing and/or working in one of the universities or research centers in central or eastern Europe.
3. AK Travel Grants
The AK, i.e. the Austrian Chamber of Labour, supports early career scholars from the central or eastern European region to facilitate their active participation in this conference.
4. ÖFG Travel Grants
